Happy 4th

 Our 4th of July was fairly uneventful. Thanks to the firework ban in Colorado Springs* it will be yet another year before Bethany is introduced to fireworks. It doesn't really matter anyway since she goes to be before it gets dark.

  Thanks to the great weather we did get to go to the splash pad on the Air Force Base close to our house. I've really been missing the selection of swimming pools we had on Ft. Sam, but the splash pad  is a consolation.

 It took a good hour (and a little play time on the adjacent playground) before Bethany actually got wet, but she diligently stood by the button to turn the water back on when the timer went off.

Finally taking the plunge, or should it be sprinkle?

Today we didn't even have to go to the splash pad to get wet. The rain did a great job at getting our back yard and this little one soaked. Love this water baby!

*In case you haven't heard, Colorado Springs is a little prone to fires lately and I do fully support the firework ban.
